R Fines 2006 SOCAN
Time is but a stream I go a-fishin’ in
It’s thin current passes by
My line is cast, petitionin’
fish from the pebbly sky
And the miracle of nature surrounds me like music
And sings along with me
And I find comfort in the arms of what will be
The stream feeds the river The river feeds the sea
The sun feeds the sea to the clouds
And the clouds get drunk and swagger carelessly
And with the lightning rain falls to the ground
And the sun lights the leaves and nourishes the tree
and makes the oxygen for me
And I find comfort in the arms of what will be
This whole world is solar powered
Every blade of grass in every breeze
The moonlight in the midnight hour
Every bird, every bee
I stand in awe of the beauty here all around me
To hear and touch and taste and smell and see
And I find comfort in the arms of what will be
